What Makes Smoked Flooring Special
Smoking is an innovative colouring technique that originated in Germany. It utilizes gas instead of paint to give wood flooring unique colours. Smoked products are different from regular products in the following ways:

Raw Material
Since the smoking process will magnify any defects in the raw material, only 56% of woods could be used to manufacture smoked products versus 90% for regular products.

Manufacturing Process
Smoke colouring techniques require great expertise from experienced craftsmen. In addition, the smoking process is 10 to 15 days longer than the regular colouring process, resulting in higher costs.

Product
Smoked products have more sophisticated, natural and entrenched colours, along with more stable characteristics and greater prevention of insects.
